Jenny finds herself soaked in sweat and laying on her back in the grass, Amanda
beside her. While they weren't looking, the sun climbed high and the day has
turned out to be surprisingly warm. Meanwhile Amanda loses herself in the infinite blue sky. "Pray with me, Forrest", she mumbles. "Pray that I'll turn to a bird and fly away."
"Hey, that's my line", says Jenny, bringing her back to earth. She closes her
eyes and start talking seriously.

I like this comic, too. I love drawing clouds, and I love how Amanda's face
turned out in the last panel. Maybe I should point out that the shape and size
of her hair isn't affected by mood or anything, it's just randomly determined by
whatever I feel like drawing. I like to make it really big, but I don't always
have the space or the patience. And I haven't made my mind up if it should be
spiky, stripy or splashy so I make it different every time. Adds a nice
surrealistic look to the comic, also.
Also, I like this comic because things are starting to happen. I haven't shown any actual person the site yet, because it's embarrassing to show a story that has barely even started. We've made it through about half a page of the book, and I didn't show it to anyone until I had 30 pages
written. So don't be surprised if you read this when there's over 200 strips in
the archive. ^_^
